Established in 2023, the GPRG EU Academy was created in response to the lack of Swedish representation in the European Union. The project also aims to address the significant gap in awareness among students regarding the rich and diverse career opportunities available within the European Union.

The inaugural year of the EU Academy has been a success, punctuated by interactive lectures, rich debates, and amazing immersive visits!
During its two first iterations, the EU Academy organized 20 lectures featuring renowned EU experts to delve into cross-cutting and current topics relevant to the European Union. Each lecture provided our participants with the opportunity to engage with professionals and gain personal insights and practical advice on how to start their own EU journey!
Notably, to quote just a few, our participants had the chance to engage with:
Louise Bengtsson, who served at the Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety in Brussels from 2012 to 2014, as well as at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs in the Department for Asia and the Pacific from 2018 to 2022. She provided valuable insights on the European Health Union and the EU's role in global health. The discussion also encompassed broader topics, including security challenges and the importance of health in the context of sustainable development.
Morten Kjaerum, who was the Director of the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) in Vienna from 2008 to 2015 and directed the Danish Institute for Human Rights (DIHR). Given his extensive background, his lecture provided our participants with deep insights into the complexities of human rights and the current challenges facing the European Union.
